What is Minimatod? +
A minimalist notes and to-do app. The twist: every note or task can contain more notes and tasks, nested as deeply as you want — so a single item can become a whole project.
How deep can I nest items? +
There is no fixed limit. Open any note or task to add items inside it, then open those, and so on.
What is the difference between a note and a task? +
A task can be checked off when done; a note is just text. Both can hold children, and each list keeps notes and tasks grouped separately.
Do I need an account? +
Not on iOS and Android — there the app works fully offline and stores your data on your device, so you can start immediately without signing up. The web app requires a free account. Signing in (just an email address) adds sync between your devices.
Where is my data stored? +
Locally on your device (and in your browser when you use the web app). If you create an account and turn on sync, your notes, tasks and folders are also stored on our server to keep your devices in sync — the Privacy Policy explains exactly what that means.
Is there cloud sync between my devices? +
Yes, and it is optional. Sign in and your notes, tasks and folders sync across devices for free. Media attachments (photos, voice memos, sketches) sync with a Premium subscription.
Which platforms are supported? +
iOS, Android, and any modern web browser. You can use the web app without installing anything.
How much does it cost? +
The core app is free, including sync for notes, tasks and folders. Minimatod Premium — a monthly or yearly subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play — adds media sync with a 10 GB fair-use allowance. If a subscription ends, nothing is deleted: only media syncing pauses.
